Peter Marial Matong is a 36-year-old husband and father of two.. He serves as a senior pastor at Akook-Makiu Calvary Chapel Church, but his journey to faith in Christ was marked by deep struggle and divine intervention.
Before becoming a Christian, Peter and his family endured years of inexplicable tragedy. Death was rampant in his household—every year, a family member or even their livestock would perish. Desperate for answers, they turned to witchcraft, seeking protection and solutions, but nothing worked. The darkness only seemed to grow stronger.
Then, by God’s grace, Peter realized the futility of witchcraft. He saw that it held no real power, only empty promises. This revelation led him to seek truth elsewhere, and he began attending church. There, he met Pastor Santino Bak, who shared the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
